Fish Cakes
INGREDIENTS
  • ½ lb salted cod fish,cooked and flaked
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup onions, finely
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Salt
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp eschalots
  • 1 large fresh hot pepper

 

 

 

 

PREPARATION:

  1. In a heavy  pan, heat the oil on medium heat and fry the onions until they are cooked.
  2. Add flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Make a space in the middle and pour egg, butter and milk. Mix together lightly, then add the onions, eschalots, salted cod fish, salt and pepper. 
  3. Stir well. Scoop a spoonful of the mixture into the oil, but do not crowd the pan.
