This can be viewed as an alternative to pecan pie. These squares can be combined with ice cream or other treats for a great dessert.
- Filter and mix 2 cups flour and 2/3 cup powdered sugar. Cut in 3/4 cup softened butter using a pastry blender or fork just until blend looks like coarse meal. Place mixture on base and 1/2 inches up sides of a greased baking dish.
- Heat at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
- Bring brown sugar, honey, 2/3 cup butter, and whipping cream to a boil in a pot over medium-high heat. Mix in pecans, and empty hot filling into crust.
- Heat at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until brown. Cool completely before cutting into 2-inch square
